qPCR panel for detection and differentiation of RHDV type 1 (GI.1) and type 2 (GI.2) in rabbits.
Overview
Molecular panel test for detection of rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus with separate subanalyses for classical RHDV type 1 (GI.1) and RHDV type 2 (GI.2). Intended for suspected rabbit haemorrhagic disease and differentiation between both genotypes.
Included subanalyses
This analysis includes the following subanalyses:

Sampling and submission guidelines
In acute or fatal cases, blood, liver, and spleen are generally the most informative specimens. In live animals, blood or a swab can be submitted.
Collect the sample aseptically. Obtain liver, spleen, or other tissue material as soon as possible after death or euthanasia. Do not use fixative or formalin for qPCR samples.
Sterile leakproof container for tissue; EDTA tube for whole blood; sterile dry swab.
Ship chilled in leakproof packaging. Use absorbent material and cold packs where appropriate. Submit samples as quickly as possible; if delay or longer storage is expected, ship frozen.
In acute or fatal cases, liver, spleen, and blood are preferred.
