Genetic test for Gravel (EDNRB2-related) - Ball python.

Overview
Gravel is a subtle ball python (Python regius) morph within the Yellow Belly complex. The DNA test detects the EDNRB2 variant c.499G>A associated with Gravel. Gravel is inherited in an incompletely dominant manner. The test can distinguish between wildtype, heterozygous, and homozygous animals. Because Gravel can closely resemble other alleles within the same complex, such as Yellow Belly and Asphalt, DNA analysis is particularly useful for genetic confirmation and targeted breeding selection. In combination with Yellow Belly, Gravel is known in the hobby as Highway.
